aroundthesun: Many thanks for all the suggestions. I rather like the sound of a grandparents Tecno group. I need to learn as much as i can about computing! Or is it about something completely different?

Well, I thought it was a sound idea until it occurred to me that the group would be filled with us old duffers who would be no help to each other whatsoever. stuck

We'd be in serious danger of swapping muffin recipes and complaining bitterly about creaky knees and frozen shoulders if we sit at the computer for too long.

However, I have a natty little solution... idea ...ask a grandchild of approximately 6 years old who will explain computer usuage in an intelligible format which goes something like, "You see that little red cross in the top right hand corner, can you move the little arrow until its on top of it using the mouse..."

Its how I learned the basics. S'true. blushing

See?

You've just got to be selective about who you let into groups.

Hi Around,

As you've already learned, there is no such area for us folk. You could start a group, as has been suggested; but the groups are moribund.

Obviously you've mastered computer usage and basic internet what-all well enough to get here. I imagine what you're asking is, how best to use this site?

If that's the case, feel free to email me with any questions you might have, and I'd be glad to help.

I saw the Topic title and had to see what this was all about.

Intrigued by the comments and pretty sure I belong in the group.

In response to: Hello. Is there a specific area for us older members who are not so able with the internet? Thank you.
it seems to me that most sites are geared towards younger people.
