It does not happened to me, but I made ??a joke to my brother: antitheft devices that stores stick to products consist of a magnetized wire. I pulled the wire of a product I purchased, and stuck it into my brother's jacket. Whenever he went to a store, theft detectors sounded when he went out, and each time he was catched and registered by security staff, until one day I explained everything and we took the wire out of his jacket.

in all honesty, I have never stole anything...my Mom taught me a very valuable lesson....I was 4 and remember it like it was yesterday...we were checking out at the grocery store and back in the day they had penny candy in boxes (open) well I grabbed one, my Mom saw me..made me put it back and told me stealing was so very wrong...stuck with me all my life
When I was six, the police came to our school and several children were all called out of class...myself included. The police then told us we were lucky we were not in hand cuffs as we were all caught stealing from the service station where we all caught the bus. They said they would be back in the morning to see us again.
I was not one of the ones that had been stealing, we just happened to wear the same school uniform and catch the bus at the same place.
I went home terrified. I was one of 8 children with an Army Colonel as a father. Honesty was on the top of the list in our house.
Mum asked me if I had been involved - no-one lied to MY mother! She went up to the school the next day and the teacher's told her they knew I was not involved but had wanted to scare everyone so there was no more stealing from that shop.
I am still disgusted that they terrified myself and at least one other child who they knew was not involved.
Heck....I walked out of a shop with a receipt book by accident and was packing the car an hour later when i noticed it. I walked all the way back to return it. The young lad behind the counter said "why? It is only $2". Theft is theft and it was not mine!
