A normal speaking Jamaica can express him/herself in English but when anfry some expression are best said in Patois (Patwah) ie teh English word "dirty" is translated "dutty" and "girl" is translated "gal" but "Dutty gal" is not "dirty girl but a woman of a more base sort and is very offensive often causing a fight.

alteregosophie: English is our native language. We just normally speak to each other using dialect. Our accent is very distinct therefore there are times when non-Jamaicans find it hard to keep up.
Same here our language is greek but we have our dialect that also includes words from other languagescool
