Sophie, I don't think you were rude or disrespectful at all. Basically, the guy was trying it on thinking he is a smooth operator. You are pretty, but you know guys will try it on even if your'e not if they think they are in with a chance. Because you are young and pretty some people may try to put you down because they are jealous and have some disappointment in their own life. Fact is you have the right to choose what you think is acceptable or not. As for psycho babble, it is just that psycho babble complicating what is a relatively straight forward situation you described. Hell, on a weekend when a few people have been out, some people may call someone a wan*** for some thing like that or get into a fight. I know with my own experiences I remember one time my car broke down in front a bar.I had no choice but use that phone in that bar.While I'm on the payphone a couple guys tried to pick me up.Men are men no matter where they're from.They see a pretty woman of any age and they try to play the game that's been going on for quite some time.I know I know women aren't perfect either.
