Sheer incompetence in my opinion. If they are going to let them out on work programs, then at least keep an eye on them!
These guys pull the wool over the eyes of the psychiatrist who then judges them elegible for extra privileges.

Amazing isn't it... just walk off and no one watching.. I say, I bet the guards are gonna cop it...

More waste of money now looking for him..
But most peeps on the run, contact friends or family, and manage to do well... for a short time anyways..

Do not approach Serene... just be careful... although the blighter could be anywhere by now... hug

I guess the upside is when they catch him ... he will have to probably do his full stretch before they let him out again .... cool

Lookin4missright: I could'nt even guess how you must feel Mr C, being blood related ..... they (authorities) still have'nt found who killed my best mate back in 96. The farker/s is are still on the loose i really don't know what i/we (ex friends) would do, as so much time has gone by. I think now i'd just like not to know if they found him/her/them.

Mr C my mate had one of the biggest hearts that i have ever been blessed to know. If he reads this i know he will look for your daughter and then watch out for her...
Very sorry that some m..... f..... scumbag took your daughter away from you.

Thanks for the heartfelt thoughts Mr Lookin, from the HEART.
You know, "they" get looked after, the best of everything, what ever they require, at all and every taxpayers expense, but Jodie is not breathing, or giving her mum and I grandies......The hate is still as strong as the day in court when I told him he was MINE.....

hug i cannot imagine the pain of being family (especially ones child) no Sir. I do have pain until this day and has affected my whole life as not knowing who murdered my bestie. And the last thing i want to be doing is having a beer, partying etc... with the farker that took his life, so i gave up a lot of friends many moons ago and have stuck to myself since.

Mr C i hope one day time or older age calms you down even just a tad to not do anything that will leave your family and friends without a friend or father.

You know Mr C, i don't care about paying my tax to help keep the farker comfy, as long as they don't let the farker out. scold

About time they took all those oldies in the nursing home and swapped places with the prisoners.

The oldies will get 3 square healthy meals every day, someone to watch over them 24/7, only get visitors once a week and the guards will tell you their names before you see them (great when the old timers kicks in).

But I bet the Civil Libertarians would kick up a stink if the prisoners were stuck in a nursing home confined to their beds for 20 hours every day, 3 barely edible small meals each day, lucky for someone to check on them more than once a day, going out in public and they are one-on-one with staff the whole time they are out, visitors only rocking up 3 times a year (Xmas Day, birthdays and Mothers/Fathers Day).

And imagine the uproar when they have to take a laxative every morning.head banger head banger

Cruiser & Lookin, sorry to hear what you have gone through. Nothing can replace your losses. And especially hard when the judicial system lets you down.

robplum: the escapee from coma has been caught

It is odd that they had a murderer down at Cooma. It is a very low security prison. Mate had to do some time to clear his mega-bill for traffic fines. Day 1 was in Long Bay Remand Centre and Day 2 transfered to Cooma. And his wife only had an hour drive to visit him.

He spent every day out on the trout farms playing with the fish. Reckoned it was the best holiday he had had in years. He took all of his 4 weeks annual leave so his wife would have some money but she also got Single Mother's Pension, the Housing Commission rent was dropped to almost nothing, electricty paid for, she got food and clothing vouchers for her and the kids, and they "paid" him while he was there.

Bet the escapee was glad to get caught down after a few frezzing nights around Cooma. All that bad weather and everyone knows everyone around there.
