if your car is over ten years old, most likely there is over two thousand feet of electrical wire in your car....

Don't you mean UNDER 10 years old? Modern cars have far more cabling than older ones with all the electrical devises they now have, the cable on a 1990 Austin Mini is a fraction of that used on a new BMW Mini.

laugh My wire is 43 years old(new one), and I don't know how long my
Car is. That is my story this morning. I did not go swimming in court.
It was the same old Court house in a defended Citadel structure you find
in any little Villiage, quite warm actually, much like my Bath.

I read that in modern cars, there are over 10 million lines of software code! Forget about wires...

I took my car to the shop cuz it was running rough in the morning. 150 $US just to hook it up to a computer to see if they could look for (not correct) a problem!

Sigh. Give me an old car where I can change my points and plugs myself any day.

You would be better off purchasing your own OBD code reader to pinpoint the problem. grin

I bought something similar so I could reprogram the fuel injector profile on my Harley to compensate for the altitude here in the Rockies.

As for the car, let it be rough.

LoL, I thought this was about my shortwave radio antenna wire which is now a half mile long and of incredible sensitivity when combined with my old ICOM receivers.
