tbh im sadly lacking in both at the moment, thats what onee gets being a single parent and self employed and mybest mate lives in galway, but i suppose im happy enough as im not a needy person ..if people are happy in themself they can survive without either

thats kinda true...survive tho..
i prefer to celebrate...but we dont stay in same phases whistler..things will change..children grow up..and the restraints get looser..(im hoping anyway lol ive 3 kids!)

I don't think there's a scale of importance when it comes to friends and relationships, both are totally different...

Peace of mind
Contentment
Good health
Wealth
Safety and security
Intelligence
Understanding
Wisdom
Cats
Horses
Enough food to eat
Joy
A sense of thankfullness for being alive
And the best thing about the above things is that they're not either or. They are not exclusive, they are inclusive. You CAN have them all .... but probably not if you're chasing 'friends' and a 'relationship'. Or maybe you would only chase 'friends' and a 'relationship' if you don't have any of the above and feel that 'friends' and a 'realationship' will somehow make you feel less empty.
