Yep. Go to the navigation bar above and hit chat. It is chaotic at times in there and it helps to be a fast typer to keep up

Just the 'chat' on the top bar which takes you to a chat room. The personal 'IM' was disabled a couple of years back when the site was upgraded and the IM seemed to be slowing everything down.
