Obscuritan: http://www.meetup.com/

For some reason your link wasn't working NL.
I've been in a few Meetup groups and they can be good. It's not specifically about singles meet-ups but can be groups of people all interested in the same thing, eg leaning Esperanto.

Not sure why that link didn't work obs?? Maybe it was linked to my email/city address. You can either google it which I did or ...

Wow! Didn't realise there were so many groups.

Here's the Melbourne link

Good luck -

New plans, still working on the boat and the beer!

Life can be tough for a single parent, but some days it is just special,

Nothing like having fluid plans.

Weekend #4 of 4 of 4-day weekends with the intention of spending most of the time around the yard getting lawns and gardens in order and not going anywhere. Only plans to go out were to get some food and feed my daughter's animals while she is away.

First thing for Sunday morning was get the old Land Rover off the front lawn and away so I could mow. But Mother Nature thought that was a bit cruel to the grass and decided to bucket down from early on. Sun is just peeping through so might be an afternoon job now.

Might just have to get the jack-hammer out just to annoy the neighbours (I do have a bit of work to do on under the garage door as it won't close after the ground settled during the drought. Might even have to tidy it up so I can put one (2?) of the cars in thererolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing

I need to go back too work for a rest! After running around doing all the shopping yesterday, the kid brought the wardrobe, flat pack offcourse! Then she said that the shelves on her wall needed moving? So off to Bunning’s for wall plugs, so wardrobe assembled shelfs rehung, I even put a ball on each shelf just too show the kid how good I am! I managed to replace the fuel line for the boat and annoyed the neighbours for an hour trying to get the motor to idle? No joy there, think it needs a service,

The worst part off the weekend is the weather is perfect! I cant think or a reason to wasted the day sitting on the PC drinking beer all day, but its worth my effort procrastinating on the idea!

Well our forecast was for afternoon storms so I got out early this morning to attack my 'jungle' as I call it.

Had the hedge trimmer and small electric saw, got a few piles to go to the tip as well as did the whole of the backyard as my son was still in bed very mad and I knew it was going to rain so I did it myself!

NOT HAPPY JAN! very mad mumbling thumbs down

Think I might have over done it as usual, I don't know when to stop? frustrated

But clocked off in time to have a shower and go see a movie thumbs up

Forecast was right - stormy now. thumbs up Yep stay home tonight, and have a few wine wine wine and give myself a pat on the back for doing all that work. thumbs up thumbs up thumbs up

A man would be handy some times I have to concede. Going to the tip is a man's job laugh laugh laugh
