Whether it is bad or good news, I equally feel emotional for someone's misfortune, a death, lost pet, whatever, as I do for someone's good fortune when they have won a lot of money they really desperately needed crying

I'm just a big sook and I wear my emotions on my sleeve heart beating

Hi Lillyleafwave

I know someone just like you.. a girlfriend of mine, she has always cried if she heard a sad story, the tears just come.. She is the only person who gets emotional over a story on the news, or if someone tells her a sad story..

I must admit.. I am not at all like that..

At work, we hear a sad story every 30 mins.. so if I took it all onboard, I just would not be able to cope..

but recently at work, we were talking about this stuff, and we decided that we are completely desensitised and although we have empathy at the time, once that person is helped as much as we can, we forget it.. sigh

Crying is good for us psychologically. As long as we don't go overboard. To much of it can make us depressed. A healthy balance is best.A lot of research has been done on "laughing". Researchers have worked out that at least 10min.every day of deep laughing(not cheesy grins)is extremely healthy and can, to some extent, reverse depression. So reading funny books, watching funny dvds, jokes,or whatever are excellent for us.The more we laugh the happier we become. The old saying"laughter is the best medicine"is so true.

Another one today (jumper) just b4 lunch, yep on monash freeway in melb doh This time he done the job, and properly thumbs up Farked the east side of melbourne up for hours super motorcycle super motorcycle

Starting to think fark'em just run over them like we do with road kill that we can't manouver around bunny reindeer dancing dog cats meow

I really feel sorry for peeps that have to witness this, as today a few of my workmates did frustrated Imagine what they have to go home to tonight feeling the way that they do.

I do think it must take a lot of balls to jump off a bridge/overpass and take your own life for whatever reason dunno God knows how many have done this since my other story confused This time i was about half a kilometer behind when it happened, and thank christ i did'nt get to see what my fellow workmates were reporting on the cb radio while the rest of us were so confused as to finding a way to get off the freeway & get our deliveries done (heavy vehicles).

I am always sad afterwards when i think of what the family, friends etc... must be going through after they hear the news that their loved one or friend has done this blues BUT am i an arseho*e now for thinking.... FARK'EM (coz so many are doing it)???? And think that it would be a good idea if doctor death should become legal blushing and let the ones that want to take their own lives do it without farking up so many other people dunno

ps, some of the stuff i heard on the cb after he hit the deck, was not very refreshing thumbs down

confused Do you think i am an arseho*e and selfish for wanting the jumpers to die in a different place?

I can imagine some of what was going over the cb, some would be heartless and others would be feeling it deeply.

Lookin, by your words across both your last couple of posts, you are not heartless, you feel distress for the distress of others.

Yep it would be nice if people wouldnt involve others in their quest for release. Just think how train drivers feel, they cannot drive around what they can see in front of them, but only apply the brakes and hope they can stop in time. Trucks are pretty much the same but there is a little more control.

hug Lookin, dont stop being the person you are

Hiya Jem lips teddybear bouquet Yeh know what you are saying about train drivers thumbs up I went out with a girl years ago which her dad was a freight train driver. I can't remember how many suicides he witnessed, but know it was several(out in the middle of no where) he retired early or just lost it i think(was a while ago) and turned into an alcoholic .... Bit of a shame coz when sober he was a top bloke thumbs up

ps, a friend of a friend roll eyes years ago had a job (don't know title) confused used to get called out to clean up train suicides and he was an alcoholic too.

didnt think melbourne was that bad a place to live indunno

seriously though, its not good for the people that have to drive the trucks or trains and witness or be involved in this.sigh
i cant imagine how they must feel after the actblues

people who are want to commit suicide dont have rational thoughts as to the other people that may be involved, suicide is a selfish act on everybody left behind, but they must be feeling so low at that time and so unlovedcrying and many dont have anyone to turn to, to cry with or to hold them and tell them they are loved.
just sooo sad for everyone involvedsnowed in
