Yeah true you mean the likes of Allan bond Laurie Connell they were two guys doing all sorts of corrupt deals.

They both did build our equestrian centre here perth some good things did come out of it but guess didn't outweigh the bad things they did to their clients

Have you watched the Zietgiest documentaries yet? There is some very interesting facts that cover the financial system of the world. I find these doco's ground breaking and inspirational in the way they are put together. Finally there is a voice of discontent with the current monetary system, which is entirely man made and can be done away with at any time.
We live in a vast universe and have been gifted with a jewel of a planet to live on and humans are destroying it at an ever increasing pace, largly due to the monetary system.
The earth could be a living paradise if the world was managed in a scientific and humane way instead of greed and scarcity.

thumbs up Money is a curse, I hate seeing what it does to people. Well, what people allow it to do to them anyway.

Sorry, but I am a fan of Alan Bond and maybe Laurie Connell. They did come up from nothing to make their millions. They both did their best to give back to the people some of what they had legitimately earned.

Bond, like Langcock, upset some magnates such as the A Court's in WA. Nobody likes the noveaue riche (sic .... because I couldn't be bothered looking it up first).

Skase on the otherhand just went out there to make his millions by ripping off ordinary people.

Bond did believe that he was trying to give back to the people opportunity and did enjoy his fame and fortune. Packer, on the otherhand, did inherit his money but did a lot to support the Australian economy and did his best to keep this out of the media......and he had a strong interest in media.

Okay, Revealer, do real research of this media mogul and you might be surprised how he did his best to hide this from the public.

I agree, Bondi was a legend!
He started in real-estate? Then moved on to buying businesses and then went on to start a cooperation, Bond Corp! his investors made lots off money from his deals for years, he even owned the brewery! He started a lot off companies from scratch like West can and ACI glass, both off whom have gone broke long after Bondi left them?

Bondi’s downfall was he borrowed too much money to buy new companies using the companies he owned as security assets, it was when he went to buy Harrods off London that some smartarse asked where was his money coming from?

That started the stock market crash that took out all the high-end investors as they were asked to show the money?

The funny thing that got me? Is the week he went broke! His wife who had her own money and his kids for the first time made the Australia’s rich list!

And he should be in the Ginners Book off records!
For being the fist man ever to go broke selling beer to Australians!
