Me thinks that if they had a monetary system it would more than likely be as 'credits' all electronically, no cash.
It could also be that everyone working or not would receive a basic amount of 'credits' every day, enough for basic survival. If you worked... the extra 'credits' would be paid on top of your basic amount and there would be no tax as the government would obtain their cut from percentage of production....

Inflation can only be controlled if every country had the same currency and everyone in the world, male/female got paid identically for the same job.... and an apple in the US would cost the same as it would anywhere else in the world.... only then could such a system be introduced, as soon as you are born you would start receiving the 'basic' income but this of course would be paid to your parent/s until you leave school/home/whatever....
