Base- it smooths the canvas and covers the lines of life, it hides the red blotches from crying to much, it covers the dark circles under her eyes from worry or sleepless nights.

Lipstick- adds color to the canvas and brings life to sometimes pale lips, it adds confidance and draws the eyes away from the signs of problems, red lipstick gives courage to her and makes her brave, soft pink makes her feel calm.

Eye liner and mascara- add drama when she feels unsure and also ensures she doesn't cry when she feels sad, as it runs down your cheeks and distroys the mask she sometimes needs.

With out her make up she would be on display and the world wound see the small imperfections she trys so hard to hide, the world is not ready for that, so she hides behind her war paint and shows the world the 'in control, strong and secure ' woman.

A man who sees past her war paint, who sees her the same way without all that, would be
able to hold her heart in his hands.

Brilliant thread Lady J and very true! At home I will wear no makeup, but when I go out and face the world, the mask goes on! Gotta prime the canvas! grin

The thread about men hiding behind their profile pic is much the same as women hiding behind their war paint, dontcha ya think.

Jewel, you referenced crying a couple times. Have you been doing a lot of crying comfort

Men don't care about makeup. The initial contact to gain their interest is important but after that when they get to know what makes you tick, they aren't in tune with it as much as we think they are.

Women wear makeup for other women the same as they dress for other women.

Eye liner -mascara - and eye shadow its everything I would wear on a special occasion .

The rest of time... Nothing ... at all...

Few times Ive had lipsstick I feel like bite my lips all the time to remove it , and proper make up all over my face... naw... itches

So yeah , basically I face the world everyday with my whole wrinkles and stuff

How heavy is all that junk you put on your face? Makeup is so unnatural. It's so like a woman who shaves her legs and under her arms.... Such a distasteful thing to do. IMO

My last G/f wore hardly ant make up, yet she glowed and her face looked iridescent, too bad she was a psychopath.

galrads: I though I found her a few years ago. She had a remarkably constant very attractive facial appearance and I noticed nothing changed about it after swimming or bathing.

One night at dinner while siscussing tattoos, she told me I was looking at hers. What? Yep, she had her makeup face tattooed on. I guess that is not uncommon but an expensive thing to do.

Am sorryteddybear
But hey that kind of salves my crying problem with eye liner, mmmhmmm

Sooo you don't mind tattoo's as long its on hairy, natural woman?
