I don´t think anybody has an "easy" life. Even those privileged people cushioned by cash have their problems, whether it be mental, physical or emotional issues. If by "easy" it is meant....physically taxing, then normally the women have the easier role. However, childbearing is certainly not "easy". Looks as though each gender likes to think their own role in life is more difficult than the other, but, in reality, each one has his/her own capabilities. Appreciation from each party might make for "easier" co-existence.

What I mean by "easier" is in the whole, generally speaking. Men work hard, especially those who have labor jobs, and some men believe in supporting the whole family on their own, some are single men paying child support, etc.
Some women work outside the home and help raise a family, do household chores, grocery shopping and help raising children, some women are housewives, and some women are raising children without support from the man as well as single women may be paying child support, etc.
Female rebirth is far more complicated than male, childbearing, the more pronounced periods, usually suffer a more emotional thought processes, often enjoy much less freedom as you are proned to be preoccupied with children and their welfare, finally of course lot more pronounced hormonal activity in later years
