Does it make a difference to you if someone is left, or right handed?
Yes, for seating arrangements at the table. I have two lefties at home, one is left handed. That's the one who has to sit on the right hand side. It increases the level of tension and possible conflict. It balances out the constant peace and tranquillity in the house. Except for that, no difference.

I 'fess up to not being able to tell my left from my right.
I get the concept, but the logistics are beyond me.

That might tell you about the level of flexibility of a person.
On the other hand (which one??)
I do have a left handed – my daughter- in my home (temporary) and she places everything backwards and at meal time with some more people around it gets so confused that either I could drink her table wine or she would drink mine.

So, yes it could matter.
Bloody Nora, I didn't realise it could effect really important life events!!!
For any of us that are left handed, we have the reality of knowing it is a right handed world. Us lefty's like to believe that "left is right". LOL (see he is waving with his left hand)

Maus19: Does that reflect in to your creations? Or do you only make long sleeved shirts? The one's with the little leather straps on the back?
I'm dyspraxic, not dangerous.
I write with my right hand, but can write with my left if necessary.
I can use scissors, screwdrivers, pliers, etc. with my left (very handy when working in a small space) and for some tasks I'm left hand dominant, like throwing snowballs at my friends' children.
My mother always complained that my kitchen was backwards.
i'm a lefty... (who wouldda thunk...) predominantly left, but able to use both hands for many things (cuz we grow up in a right handed world...) i like the kid's expression for it...bihandual..
for the most part it doesn't matter to me...but i think it does show which side of the brain one is operating from. lefties: emotions and perceptions. righties: logic and language.
as a child i was often hit with two yard sticks taped together with black electrician's tape by my teacher if she caught me using my left hand (the devil's hand she called it). seh could reach across two rows to get me. or she would hit me over the head from behind with a large hardcover dictionary...i often wonder how i managed to get outta elementary school without spinal damage. now i choose to think about it as what a wonderful opportunity that teacher gave me to exercise both sides of my brain.
the only time i try to remain aware i am left handed is when i am traveling and eating at someone's home. it can be very insulting in some cultures to eat with your left hand, and i don't wish to offend the host.

Are you sure its because you grew up in a right handed world?
Why is it insulting in some cultures to eat with your left hand and is this leftist?
Bihandual - I'm so gonna nick that for my own personal use. I love it.
