Would you vote for Tony abbot? (32)

seems to me both parties take turns, they somehow come to an agreement libs for three four turns then labor

I reckon it occurs because they know the idiot votes in Australia only ever vote on the chosen very limited subject matter months before politicians crank up. I'm certain I think was Peter Reff agreed it had happened that way in the past, after such an allegation was made, he admitted that's was done in the past.
Now the Punch and Julia show is highlighting the lot of always heart wrenching education crap, health, financial promises, roads and taxes.

wash2u: I do not like the current leader who has delivered the current policies, the numbers and the outcomes of the actions .

Being in Local Govt, I have seen some of the real costs there are to the local community. Nobody wants to pay Council rates when they see no benefit to them personally. The Council I worked for demanded through recent elections that costs be reduce by at least 5%.

My unit alone had a 23% increase in 1 single item, street lighting, thanks to the Carbon Tax. And 15% maintenance charges added to that as well.

Who pays for that? Okay, there is a need to compensate for that but what services does your local council need to reduce? We already pay a separate charge for emptying your garbage. Mine are every 3-4 weeks but I pay the same charge as those every week.

I don't have children using day care but I do have to subsidise those that do.

I love to read and have never used my current 11 years local library (now being retired I will have to use that "free" service).

I started work at 12 delivering Sunday papers making 2/6 for the mornings work. It lasted just the one day. At 15 I was earning $15 dollars for a decent days work as a brickies labourer. By 18 I was eaning $25 per week less tax. But I was learning my trade.

After 43 and 1/2 years of full time employment (including self-employed) when I have wanted to work, I cannot see how the current labouring Govt wants me to enjoy the fruits of my labour.

I have been ripped off to the tune of $350,000 by a lABORING NSW Govt through my super. Would I ever support Laboring? NO

Hi Wash nice to see you again,I suppose I look at things a little different, My council rates have gone up as have other services due to labors Carbon tax and I can understand the angst to the many "NOW" thinkers. But the fundemental reasoning behind the tax is sound , reduce the big companies carbon emmissions , let them develop stradagies to develop green energy solutions to their production.I also understand that sure its going to hurt a bit now but at some point WE (the human race) have to start reducing our carbon output. So in this context I am happy to pay the extra My great grandchildren may get to see blue skies & cool evenings be able to swim in our oceans & breathe fresh air.I dont know what happened to your super? We are similar age and mines ok so????But keep in mind that pension you may be on soon was increased for the first time under the labor goverment after the liberals let pensioner exist on $189.00 pw for over a decade! And Tony Abbott intends to cut it again so as usual the rich get richer and the poor and most in need suffer.

I love your cat prowler....It's actually smiling..... It softens the tensions that are flying around. Looks like we are getting ready for the elections.....which happen later on.
