Going off tangent a bit, but related to this. Incidents like this are the reason why Australia needs a NDIS - for the people who might be involved in an accident by say someone who has stolen a car, not insured, or many other reasons?

If you were the innocent party but couldn't work, couldn't drive, couldn't do a lot of things - how would you manage?

How would you cope if you couldn't pay your rent cos you couldn't work?? Go into depression because your life has suddenly taken a turn for the worst and you are not getting the medical treatment/physio/financial help?

Fortunately or unfortunately depending on your circumstances if you are lucky - you or they will be insured, but if you or they are not then you just have to take the help that the Federal/State govt give you in the way of help/rehab. and I see it almost every day, it is not enough. There is a limited amount of funding to go around.

Just a thought wave australia

Thats exactly right If she wasnt insured I would have been screwed somtimes if your own car is involved you vcan fall back on that however generally if the other party is unisured and you have no income /morgage protection then you have to sue the person who hit you.If they are broke well guess what its onto the sickmess benifit for you and the meager pittance that pays then the waiting lists for surgery home help physio rehab ....Like I said I was very lucky she was insured plus I had morgage insurance

Ahhh Kizzy no. Hope the camry is okay... ( bad bad joke ) no hope you are golden, the last thing you need is that.... I start wondering a bout an old blues song that might fit you well... Born under a bad sign... If it wasn't for bad luck you wouldn't have any luck at all
