emerald888: Have a look at the Hcg diet, that's my new one this week.

I seem to be stuck the last 4 weeks at my current weight so need to change stuff up a bit.
I'm drinking 3lites of water a day, working out 7 times a week with 2 weight days on top from this week so it has to be my diet that needs fine tuning.

ooch so much water kidney overloadlaugh

Leithin you could try, that helps break down fat, plenty of eptsom salt baths. This will help break down the lactic acid.

The only carb diet that works is cutting down on carbs forever. Swap white rice for brown rice, swap bread for wraps, eat other veg instead of potatoes and cut out pasta. Then it works. If you cycle your carbs or cut them out altogether then the body piles on the weight as soon as carbs are reintroduced.

Carbs are great for energy. They release energy slowly into the body. But they are harder to burn off. So 200 calories of carbs is harder to burn off than 200 calories of protein. It sounds weird but it's true.

If you eat a lot of carbs you should really be doing a lot of energy sapping activities. But cutting out carbs altogether is not good as when you start to eat them again the body piles on the weight.

The best thing is to cut out high carn foods like bread, potatoes and pasta and replace them with lower carb foots like brown rice and wraps.

emerald888: PLENTY OF EXERCISE

Exercise is very good but its only 30% and diet is 70%.

To put it in perspective for ya. You could run 10k in a day and that will burn about 800 cals. But if you then eat a doughnut and big chocolate bar afterwards that will be the 800 cals gone.

laugh

I see a load of women in my gym who complain all the time they cant lose the weight. They do a workout which frankly doesn't kill them. They might burn 300 or 400 cals at most. Then they go next door and get a cup of fancy coffee full of cals and a slice of cake full of cals.

They would be better off staying at home and not having the coffee and cake as they would lose more weight.laugh
