serene56: Of course she needs to work, we all do and it's always better to look for work when you're already working..

She's young, talented and her skills would be easily transferrable

I am in high demand for work as my reputation proceeds me so I will never be out of work. I have been chased down the street and offered work when I was already working 2 jobs, haha, but I just love what I do...I don't want to leave. blues

Merriweather: Hi Snaggs

I reckon that your cruise is way over due... and with that stuff that is happening for you at your work...

No... its not acceptable...

Safe work place is what the govt. promotes... and I think you need to suggest that to your employer.. I hope you have a duress alarm somewhere. ??Take care you lovely lady..

Hey Merri,

yes, the break will be awesome and the timing perfect really.

I have as safe an environment as almost anything.

Leaving my job is no certainty that nothing bad will ever happen to me again elsewhere either. In reality I am just as vulnerable at an atm, in my own home, in someone else's business, on public transport...anywhere. Sure the risk may be a little lower but do I have to sacrifice doing something I get so much joy from for the sake of maybes? I just don't know, I have some serious thinking to do. Maybe starting my own business may be on the cards. The owner of the actual shop premises wants to steal me from my boss to start something else so I have other options.

Snaggs, I have heard you describing the incidents you have had. I have heard you talk about your work and the "little" laughable counter incidents that do happen in the store that do make you enjoy working where you do.

You are a people person. I couldn't see you working anywhere where you did not have direct face-to-face contact with people. Hope this gets sorted out for you soon.

And enjoy the cruise.thumbs up

Gosh Snaggs.wave

I see where you are coming from... and yes, quite right.. we are all subjected to encounters by nutters.. everywhere.. and if you really love your job.. stay... just be careful...

Could not want to think that anything bad happened to you... and if you have freedom in the store, and your bosses support you.. you are prolly better off than the type of job that I do.. which is heirachy based... and that can be sooo up ya nose with a rubber hose.. sometimes.. grin

I have thought about that, I am not sure how that would go down with customers and the threat of a dog biting someone who didn't warrant it. It may be a bit of an insurance dilemma if something did happen. It may be something that would have to be looked into very carefully.
