Waterbearer63: Those are high numbers of deaths ordered but as I stated in an earlier post to someone, WWI,WWII are not the right answer and if you check the votes results, none of those are right either.Only four options are left: Floods/Tsunamis,Volcanoes, Spanish Inquisition or Terrorist acts.
the Tsunami that came from Indeonesia caused a lot of people to die
There are three choices left: Volcanoes, Spanish Inquisition, or Terrorist Acts.Consider carefully the number of people killed in the 9/11 attacks, some 3000 people(my apologies if this number isn`t accurate). How about the Spanish Inquisition?.How many killed in that fiasco?.When you consider the choices left, the answer should jump of the page at you.
kidatheart: Why isn't stupidity on your list, it has to be the number one cause of death.
Good one. Considering some of the absolutely stupid things that Humans do, you`d think that would be it. But if you look at the three choices that are left that I stated in my previous post and you realize which one of them has been around the longest in history, the answer will jump out at you.
shininglady: i choose Terrorist Acts ! it should be correct one :)
Sorry. As terrible as they are, of three choices that were left, Terrorist acts actually account for the least number of deaths. We`re down to two: Spanish Inquisition or Volcanic eruptions in populated areas.Which one has a longer history?.
Obviously this question stumped a lot of people. The answer is: Volcanoes. This surprised me when I found out on a survey several years ago. Throughout the history of Humankind(some 40,000 years +) and because so many people lived in close proximity to a volcano, volcanic eruptions have claimed more lives than every war ever fought, other natural disasters and the other choices I listed combined. We hear about volcanoes killing thousands periodically but one never seems to realize that they are the deadliest killer on Earth. When I first answered the question in the original survey, my guess was WWII. Volcanoes never even came to mind.

Volcanoes? Are you sure?
I'd like to see a link, because wars and disasters mean the death for some persons, but diseases is what usually cause that people dies worldwide.
