yesterday was a strange day (8)
mickyj63: What can I say I was running around a fair bit . The tests the specialist wants me to do aren't straight forward with a few problems. All sorted now and I have the $$$ to pay for an MRI and another CT scan .
Eldest asked me to drive him to Port Adelaide . Which I did told him straight I couldn't hang around long as I was doing the 24hr test and needed to be close to home in case I needed to well you know go .
Now I haven't been back to that area since we finally moved . Honestly I hate detest the place best thing was my marriage ending and me moving !!
Anyway I was walking through the shopping area which they have upgraded greatly. Thinking don't see anyone you know and yes I did .
I couldn't talk to them the emotions welled and I made like I didn't see them . Best for me as I said they were "her friends" and you know all I wanted to do was run like hell back to my "area"!
But I survived to live another day
So strange feelings didn't help my eldest saying dad you should pop in here after work !!! Lucky for me so much road works made escaping ooops going home to hard to bother going back!!!

I can relate to that Micky and I am sure heaps of peeps can too it's called moving on and that is just what you're doing
Look at what you have done since. I mean just going to the Melbourne meet and meeting famous people like me 
well wish I was 
You sure did meet some great peeps at the meet me too priceless and now you have new friends in your new life But! wait there's more

I get asked to go visit the old next door neighbour, and I do keep in contact on facebook with them, but dont go visit as I dont want anyone to have to take sides as the ex still lives next door.
I sometimes go past and look at the house I built with the ex, but the only tug I feel is for the garden that I created and left behind, not for the inhabitant.

I actually had my ex husband stay here for a few days when I moved in last month. He was in my son's room and helped build wardrobes, fetch and carry stuff etc.
Just having him here made me realise how much he irritated the hell out of me!
It's good that we're still friends though.

It can be hard. I was at a local supermarket with my daughter 12/14 years ago when a ex-neighbour (and supposedly a good friend who had gone through a messy divorce previously) had the only comment "You have lost weight." I had lost 30+kgs since he last saw me.
I said, "Yeah, I have been ill."
All he could say was "Good to see you."
There are times when you have to realise that you do have to move on.
