when you dive into this sort of information:

In Australia, 7 per cent of the 189,890 local websites Google scanned (13,292 websites) were found to be compromised in the past year.

The Australian web hosting company which had the most compromised customer websites was Aust Domains International, with 2109 websites found to be infected in the past year. NetRegsitry came second, with 1771 compromised sites, and Uberglobal third, with 1212 compromised websites.

i think its very likely lots of computers are infected with malicious crap the owners don't even know about
Used to be constant attempts to spread virus infections, then the servers started scanning for them and that greatly reduced the amount circulating however they don't appear yet to have found a way to deal with Malware

I don't know enough about IT issues to make an informed choice , what I see happen is what I respond to . Being self taught is not the best as you never pick up the terms , copy and paste for one . Fiddling with things is how I sort matters , worst option I am sure .

i've put together a few web pages, my own and likes the first version of brownswiss.org so kind of needed to learn how to make them find-able (well sort of) which meant submitting to numerous servers and lodging site maps and stuff, i don't bother much now my sites seems to get 5 or 6 thousand a month according to the stats however doesn't seem all that important anymore.
Also mostly self taught myself, just sometimes out of interest read articles here and there

i just had a few laughs listening to the latest lies how they murdered unarmed bin laden, eprib they now got the burnt out helicopter being blown up by the seals inside the compound, the remaining chopper flew one team out returned and collected the remaining seals.
We are surrounded by lairs, also tonight its now been alleged second highest general in the pentagon in charge of the virus worm attack on Iran's nuclear leaked details of the project.
No wonder people hack into government computers and expose the crap governments would have people shallow

he'll probably pop up one day, if i recall correctly you and i discus the grey colored burnt out helicopter laying on the ground outside the compound wall. But that isn't the point, the point is these people cannot be trusted to comprehend or share what is actually going on.
Just yesterday Australia passed legislation outlawing support for the elite soldiers of the bath sunii faction of iraq muslim as thy now appranitly favour the shi'a faction of the lunatics. They have put into Australia legislation racial hatred as its the flavor of the day, while at same time Rudd is attempting to suck up to sunii Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono. crasy
