AgentAjax: Are you the type of person who loves technology? Do you update your phones and computers regularly?

What hanset do you use/own and are you happy with it?
ive had this computer nearly 3 years its on xp, works ok 4 what i use it 4, got a huawei smart phone, made in china but had it 2 years or more and it works fine, seems that the quality of china made goods has come a long way in last few years(and yes i do think that ppl shouldnt always buy stuff from these type countries but its whats in the shops and its whats affordable for me)and for work i bought another huawei phone(second one now)its a discovery expedition(outdoor phone)waterproof etc...good for the farm.its on the skinny network(runs on telecoms newish xt network)$4 a week for 750 texts, 15mins calling and 60mb(dont really use it for the net prefer computer)first skinny phone i got had a prob where it would just turn off sometimes eventually wouldnt turn on anymore, u can get those ones now for $30 at the warehouse with a sim with a weeks combo preloaded.oh and u can top up skinny phones with as little as $5 which is good if ur on a tight budget.i use my phones to listen to music everyday, bought myself a moshi bass box for $80 its cool its got a subwoofer and a speaker and its good for about 82 Db which is pretty loud considering max power is only 3watts.got my daughter an android tablet for christmas and myself one not long after, she really likes the drawing apps on her one and iceage village

a couple of weeks ago without it having a Sim Card i purchased a later model Telstra Next 3G Dongle for the usual $20, put the Sim Card I already had in the older Dongle and whippy, connects quickly seems faster, so am pleased. However as mobile reception up in Kyogle still sounds second rate I purchased an Antenna for the Dongle (newer version has slot for antenna) however best as i can tell didn't improve the signal, quite opposite it lost couple bars, so i dunno will have to wait and see.
Am very happy with Telstra Prepaid Broadband best since sliced bread

Its very simple for me...

I don't have a mobile phone... because I like my freedom... to not be bugged by a phone ringing..innocent

I can be contacted at work, and have a home phone..

That will do.. mumbling

I have Skype... and fb.. and all other means of communication including 2 tins of beans and a bit of string.. laugh

But I have a new computer.. Samsung little darling that weighs 1.3kg.. thin like a slice of bread.

and running windows 8 operating system with Microsoft 13 suite.. noice... cheers

grin grin I have got it all sorted, and I certainly love the speed this thing runs at...

My home computer was upgraded six months ago. I own a lap top and an Ipad. I also have an Iphone 5 and two motorolas.

I despise reading manuals...so while I own everything, I rarely use it to it's capability.

Well I realise I need a mobile phone . The landline I only have as I want broadband and its a package deal . Unfortunately I no longer plug my landline in . The reason being energy companies, Telstra and other companies calling and calling . But it was Telstra calling non stop .
I'm with optus and spoke to them about Telstra calling and telling me I owned them line rental . Optus confirmed I didn't and that it may well be a scam . So I turned the tables and told the next Telstra caller that I had reported the call as a hoax . This lasted for a month of Telstra free fun time . Then they began again ,so I did the next best thing and unplugged the phone !!
All is well except I am now getting voice messages from Origin on my mobile !!
I need my mobile so I can talk to my Lonelygal bouquet

Micky, when you get to the stage of not working and need someone to talk to, it is great having those calls during the day. Love it when they say that "As you are such a good loyal customer always paying on time, we can offer you such a great deal by upgrading to our system."

Only started paying on time for any provider of any service when they started charging me for being late. Was neccesary when I was broke but more just a bit of "how far will they go" these days without the penalties.

Even telling them I do not work does not seem to stop them calling. Thinking now to go back to Plan A. "I have not worked for some time. I am renting a room in this squalid place and about 6 months behind in rent. I cannot get the dole and the cops are on to me about me selling drugs (not true but...). I do need to be able to get a mobile going again so I can get back into business"

Thud as the call hangs up banana head banger

Unlike Dirty Harry, it does make my day.
