Over the years I have seen many animals large and small mourn the death of their owners. All animals will find and bond with someone, it is their way of showing respect. When I was young I remember my grandfathers prized stallion. They had a real tight bond, when my Grandfather passed the stallion quit eating and we had to put him down. I believe he missed my Grandfather and wanted to be with him.

My Dog Bess
She was a mix, of brindle staffey, and not sure. Went to a party with then hubby, and took her home, in the car all the way home. She would of be thrown to the wolves. If we had not taken her home.
She was beautiful, was given a good life.
She lost all her pups. She seemed so sad. I left my then husband she lived a quiet life.
What I know is that for all 8 years she loved our children.
Dogs all animals know not to be strange, they only know that if they see love they give love,to give is to be an open soul.
I miss bess yet know, she loved, maybe like no other human can.

When I was a small child I had a remarkable cat named Bundles. She would get my Mom when I was sick with fever and make her follow her to me. Then she would stay with me until Mom got my fever down. Once when I was age 10, I took a mouse from her, and yes... it was alive. I bandaged it's leg and tried to help it heal. I asked her not to kill the mice and I never saw another mouse again. Oh and I tried to save that mouse but my mother found him in my drawer in a match box and flushed him. I cried of course lol.
