I can't believe some of the advice your receiving on this thread, unless you are 70 odd years old, continuing to smoke will be harmful to your health and wealth.
Use a combination of methods with a positive mental attitude.....you are not losing anything but losing a poisonous drug. It's not that hard really, it's just a positive change.

........ tried champix and had heaps of not to good side affects so give rest of them to one of neighbors and go figure she gave up ......... until her and hubby had a blew and started smoking again I heard the blew over fence and it was a good one

PrOwLeR_: you don't quit smoking LooK'N ... you merely stop ... what eXactly are you quitting or giving up ?? ... other than inhaling poisonous and toxic chemicals into your body ??I was a 60 a day smoker, I am lucky Champix worked for me and I wanted to stop ... and this my friend is the key, you have to really want to stop ... Its not easy mate ... I sure do agree, though its not as hard as you may think it is ....

I quit smoking for good on the 25/8/2008.I used a drug called Champix.It was like a magic potion zero cravings ,zero bad mood ,zero,side effects best of all took zero will power.Had to take it for 2 weeks then stop smoking Then continue for ten weeks on daily medication.It was easy totally nothing to it & the best thing I did.I saved the money I spent in a year and took my kids to Thailand for a month !I have not had a craving or an urge to eva smoke again Biggest monkey off my back and by far the best thing ive done.

Thought you disappeared there for a minute. I gave up years ago when they first brought out the nicotine patches. I had some Technicolor dreams but with will power and the patches lessening the cravings I managed to finally kick it. I had tries many times before. Was the best thing I have ever done and consider it amongst my best achievements. It sure is a strong addiction.
I had to do something for a couple of days and didn't want to come back to a load of spam so I disabled the profile :)
