What have you learned? ( Archived) (8)

As we grow up, we learn that even the one person that wasn't supposed to ever let you down probably will.

You will have your heart broken probably more than wonce and it's harder everytime.

You'll break hearts too, so remember how it felt when yours was broken.

You'll fight with your best friend.

You'll blame a new love for things an old one did.

You'll cry because time is passing to fast, and you'll eventually lose someone you love.

So take too many pictures, laugh to much and love like you've never been hurt because every sixty seconds you spend upset is a minute of happiness you'll never get back.

Don't be afraid that your life will end, be afraid that it will never begin.

These were not my own words but I could not have come up any better ones to express the thoughts.

If you have any other important lessons please feel free to add them.

I haven't learned that. The one person in my life who wasn't supposed to ever let me down never did. Moreover, there have been many others who have never let me down as well. So evidently what each individual learns depends on their own experience.

I used to believe that women were much more caring and loving than men. I have since learned that women can often be the least loving and caring creatures on the planet.

The other thing that I've learned is that having high morals, and being 100% loyal, faithful, dependable and honest, doesn’t guarantee anything. In fact, based on my experience women seem to find such men despicable. Companies also will stab such faithful and dedicated employees in the back in a split second.

That's what I've learned. I can only pray that there is some reward for "good behavior" in the next life. Otherwise it was all for naught in this life. It went entirely unappreciated.

When you are born everybody is laughing and you cry, make sure that when you die everybody is crying and you laugh.

That sounds like the motto of a terroist.

Hey Abra,
Thank you for your addition to this post. I think there are rewards for good behavior even here on earth it just takes looking for the good things in your life. Those things that you are thankful. I have been let down by the one person I thought wouldn't let me down. I am sure that he may say the same about me. I am thankful that I have a wonderful little person who has shown me that not all of what I went through was only to build character. I am sure that something good will come your way and I hope you do not get let down in the process.
