the samsung entry level smartphone (which is android) is grand will get u bout 18 months + usage and you can facebook and voip and whatsapp to ur hearts content ..my first smartphone and second were both the samsung galaxy mini.. i lost one after 6 months n bought the same..u get one roughly from 60 to 80 quid.

if u do fancy spending more..i cant recommend the galaxy s3 mini enough.. but they arent cheap but still less than half price of an iphone or a regular s3 or s4 and has 99.9% same functionality. (size and camera pixel the main only diff)

i tend to stick to android, the windows phones are windows8 on a smaller device to double shite id imagine.. and i dont do iphones.

Hi Annie ,
hope all is well with you thumbs up

I have ordered a new Samsung galaxy y a couple of days ago to replace an old phone which is now on it's last legs sigh laugh
it should be here 2moro --I have never had a phone without buttons before blushing so it's gonna be fun laugh
I always had nokia phones --and have always found them really reliable --I would easily recommend that brand to you .
i'm not sure how this Samsung is gonna work out --will let you know handshake thumbs up

its a giant leap from buttons to no buttons.. i was freaked just learn how to text and answer calls to start.. you will be grand..my mam is using smartphones bout a year..

on the nokia side..i always used nokia 6XXX's they were animals for sturdy and reliability..but alike cars of today..electronics are going thru major changes and the move to smartphones has levelled the playing field.. the old brands that were reliable just become the same as others now.

Hi back at you
All is good with me and I hope your able to say the same.
I loved my Nokia phone but I moved to a smart phone and no going back now. I haven't had a button phone in about 3 years but first 2 were pure basic compared to this one I have now, just a pity it's a crap phone.
I'll be waiting to hear how you get on with the new phone hug

for something simple the LG360 golf is good, i have two of them, two years in and its still working like a charm, kind of simple to use blackberry design (qwerty keyboard) with very good battery life (5 full days) and a radio that doesnt need headphones to work as an aerial...
cheap as chips too...

however, im using a nokia E5 as my 'main' phone, and if that ever f*ck up on me, it will get a state funeral and a viking send off, simply the best phone i have used in getting on for 20 years with mobile phones...

hope that helps....

gd luck...
