Yes, being logical gives you less mistakes when you are after the so called "intelligent" and practical decision. But yes, it does mess up with happiness. Especially when the best thing to do is not what you would be happy doing.. Sucks!

Logic is just a tool for staying alive, but it's true that thick people are the most easily satisfied and therefore are generally the most happy because they're blissfully unaware.
Intelligent/logical people have a greater capacity to see ugly reality over blissful fantasy - they trade dumb joy for cold knowledge. I am a person of logic and don't give chance to the endorphins to blur my vision of what's going on really. It might sound too cold but I am a happy person and have very few small regrets thanks to my logical way of thinking.
