Giggles wave

I'm probably a bit out of the loop now as my 'kids' are 37 and 33 conversing

And things are soooo much different than when they were adolescents/teenagers .. even they recognise that.

The most significant change according to them is the proliferation/acceptance/use of drugs .. not just an occasional bit of pot like they admit they had, but big time heavy duty get ripped off your face kind of stuff.

So it's in the schools, at parties, at friends' houses, everywhere they go ..

Used to be the ones who took them who were the minority, now it seems it's the ones that don't who are the outsiders.

Even though we all raise our children to the best of our ability, I still think it's scary stuff for parents AND the kids sad flower

Good question Giggles. My kids are in their 20's but none of them run dairy herds like Epirbs. I should have some idea of what challenges they are facing but I'm not sure.
One of them is obsessed with her career, image, money. Has had and wants more, plastic surgery. Another is obsessed with online computer games. MMPORPG? Massive multi-player..... etc. Is gonna get a rude shock when the baby arrives (soon). The youngest battles with motivation (lack of), self-esteem (blame media portrayal of women?)
It would be interesting to hear your views (as a young person) raTher than oldies trying to guess from our perspective of "what's different from when we were young?"

The usual stuff is still a adding problem
Drugs,Gangs,Media,Alcohol,Social Networks ( for example )

Peer presure and school bulling is a huge thing.. and just trying to fit

New age & technology is killing us.
