the ex was 13 years older than me, actually we met at about the same age bracket you describe. The relationship lasted 13 years witht eh first 7 of that being very happy together.
The age difference for some is not a huge deal, it depends on both people though
While away, I met a guy who very muched like Harrison Ford. He had divorced, 'retired' from working but ended up for some reason to move to Canberra where he got a night job with Aust Post - finally got my mail today from the a week later than it should have been and 3 letters saying I must pay Late Fees.
Anyway, a guy had met this younger girl and they hit it off fine for 7 years. Until he turned 60 and decided enough of the working life. All of a sudden things began to change. She was 37 and did not want to be with an "old man."
But you can never tell what is going to happen in life. 10 years ago, ex #2 was 42 and had a 65yo half-brother and a 6yo half-brother. You never know what will happen in the "love stakes" unless you try.
And "YES" I have done a bit of the infatuation stuff and dipped out because I didn't show enough interest.
It is probably better to tell someone how you feel and, if they do not feel that way, then maybe you can still be friends. At least you can find out where you stand.
