Yes another doco review

This is about women who have gone out into the wilds of the world and spent time with different tribes.

46 year old Karen Morris Lanz spent time with the Waorani Tribe in Ecuador ,deep with in the Ecuadorian amazon jungle.

They bath and wash in a river full of deadly fish and stingers.
Men hunt for food and the women cook it./ a wild turkey ( don't know the exact name) men kill it with poisonous blow dart, women pluck it,gut it and cook it,

They use leaves from a plant to wash their hair and body, build these huge homes from bamboo and leaves, but they only take one leaf from each tree so the jungle always stays in balance, they dig holes to replant the bamboo with a bamboo stick.

They weave all their own hammocks bags and carrying straps.
Their traditional dress is all made from feathers and grasses.

The young girls are married at around the age of 13

Because Karen was such a hard worker around the village the elders decided that she should marry one of the men,he did have feelings for her and thought that she would make a great wife.as she worked the men would chant about how she would make a wonderful wife for this man.she had no idea what they were actually chanting about.

She also thought that he would make a great husband.
After a few days of festivities they were married.he was so happy.
When they marry over there they spent a lot of months just cuddling in a hammock made for them, then they make love after this time has passed.

They live the most simplistic life style with no time limit,no planning of any thing, things just flow along.

Karen left the day they were married, and she said she would not be back,

The look on the mans face was just heart breaking.
All through the doco you could see the happiness and love on his face every time he looked at her.

I think that was so sad,he had raised his 2 boys all by himself after his wife had left him and went to live in the western world, and he hadn't been with a women all that time.
But she had to return to her children,

It's is such a different life style to what we have, but yet it is so similar in so many ways.

It's astonishing how many tribes like this one are scattered around the world.

And a lot of them are being infringe by bloody loggers.
This tribe has stopped them by killing one of them after there'd killed three of the tribe men.

We have been engineered to live the way we do but I really think they are the lucky ones.

What a shame they are not left alone to live their own way.

It is said that the older we get the wiser we are.

But truth be told we are conditioned by our environment. It has been great not having to work.

But I am one of those people that does like the creature comforts many of the times and do need the routine/discipline of working after doing it for so long.

Yesterday, my son-in-law asked me if I had room in my recycling bin. Having been away for a couple of months, it was just as well that my daughter had called in a few times to get rid of the junk mail.

Many years ago I was in Tonga. Nice palace for the king but little else around. Landed there and the natives were offering bead necklaces for $1. I kept on saying "No" and finally after much more pleading, I did pay 20 cents for a necklace I didn't want. It was many, many years ago.

Point is that many people have simplistic needs and a few cents more means they can get some of what they call luxuries. I have a friend who is a very successful business woman. She spends about 3 months each year in India buying stuff. For something which costs her 20-50 cents, she sells for $2-5 here in Australia. While she has her own costs of shipping, labour, staff and rental on her stores, at least some people are earning some money along the chain.

Hi halvo,

She didn't lead him on, she told him she could not stay.
It was the elders of the tribe that set up the marriage, every one knew she was leaving,
And the lady had no way of getting out of it,she could not say no,it was not her decision. To make.

If you were to watch it ,I am sure you would see things differently.
