Is it all about the goss? or is that all it is? I hear people deleting their accounts and feeling liberated, I wonder why.confused

In just my opinion I think facebook is turning into some kind of information state gathering machine with a lot of people exchanging real life for a virtual one, I know of people on it morning noon and night giving out all there personal information, totaly addicted on there and being judged.

That's what Edward Snowden leaked. He showed how the NSA is saving all traffic on Facebook, Twitter as well as other social media sites. They have copies of everything, even the stuff people deleted. Apparently Zuckerberg gave them a backdoor into it.

Like the US and Israeli Military, for instance?

"The US military is developing software that will let it secretly manipulate social media sites by using fake online personas to influence internet conversations and spread pro-American propaganda."

Don't try teaching grandma how to suck eggs son. I've been laying false trails for stalkers and snoops so long I've forgotten who I was before I started laugh

I think we should all include some bit of terrorist lingo in every internet communication and that way their surveillance would be useless.

See you later, I'm off to fly a small plane into the United Nations building. wink

Not really that suprised that a government agency was surveying everything on facebook. In fact back 2010/2011 facebook changed their policy regarding the privacy of their users information to what boils down to; users are responsible for what they post on facebook but facebook still have the rights to it. Essentially privacy settings on facebook are an oxy-moron.

I'm very sure that my posts on Fb are not of interest to many. My family and friends are spread around the globe and it's wonderful for keeping up with people I don't get to see very often
