Del Ponte is a paid UN beuacratic. Paid to try to keep the peace. So she says.....A US strike will not work on one hand....while on the other hand....her own UN investigators came back with a near air tight case that it was ASSad that did the agent strike.

So we have a UN bureaucrat that stares at the evidence of a WMD attack that killed 1300 people. Says to her self....I cannot do anything about. I don't have that kind of authority or abilities. Why should the US be able to do anything about it? I am the UN!! The US...you know the country that had 911. That did the Iraq invasion. Yada yada......

Which plays into today Putin's New York Times Op-Ed. Were he questions now Only President Obama's abilities. But the abilities of the American people.

First of all. Del Ponte does not know all the American military abilities. Nor does Putin. Oh they will tell that they do. But believe me, our arnesal today is much more complex and sophisticated that even 5 years ago.

Let me explain it this way. What has the United States been doing in its military? Increasing forces or decreasing them? Answer is decreasing them.

Now you can say....that is because the US is broke. Or you can say the US has developed new weapon technologies that allow a major force reduction. We only force reduce in this world when we have developed new technologies to make our force more effective.

Yep....Iraqi Air Force General George Sada says Sadam shipped WMDs to Syria prior to the Iraq invasion of 2003. Sada was number 2 in the Iraqi Air Force. How about that?

I think that I would call this 'admission of having Chemical weapons' by ASSad. If he did not have them, how could he surrender them to a 3rd party? LOL..........

Although inspired by humanitarian impulse, NATO's intervention did not aim mainly to protect civilians, but rather to overthrow Qaddafi's regime, even at the expense of increasing the harm to Libyans.

• The Intervention Backfired. NATO's action magnified the conflict's duration about sixfold and its death toll at least sevenfold, while also exacerbating human rights abuses, humanitarian suffering, Islamic radicalism, and weapons proliferation in Libya and its neighbors. If Libya was a "model intervention," then it was a model of failure.

• Three Lessons. First, beware rebel propaganda that seeks intervention by falsely crying genocide. Second, avoid intervening on humanitarian grounds in ways that reward rebels and thus endanger civilians, unless the state is already targeting noncombatants. Third, resist the tendency of humanitarian intervention to morph into regime change, which amplifies the risk to civilians.
