that's our "feeding family of four " food supply . Before we had power here , so taking more than one was a waste . Good fun for the boys . My two daughters were keen as well on chasing the odd porker . Had some really funny times as we logged time in trees more than once .

that's where the kids end up when we are after yummy pokers and run into large grumpy baconer . I think Lookin was trying to work out this a fair bit and how he should reply.
I remember once when the radiator boiled coming up the mountain to access my uncle's farm. Grabbed something for water to get from the small swampy area up the top. Took the gun (.22) along just in case we could get a rabbit or a roo.
When we got there, we heard something in the scrub near the water. Safety off just as a boar came out of the scrub. My brother put 10 shots into it. Pigs have hard heads. Too far out of the way to drag back but next day, one of the neighbours wanted to go and have a look as he wanted to grab some young porkers to raise. The boar was full of worms and not worth having. Didn't bother looking for the piglets.

My favourite boots which have seen a lot of Australia. I need to wear thick socks these days as the soles are a little bit thin. But so comfortable to wear.

Only reason they have lasted me 14 years is that they were regularly cleaned. The spots are spraypaint from a time when fixing a shearing shed roof. I was screwing the roof down and the spraypainter was trying to hurry me up. But coming apart at the seams and now relegated to the garden.
