4kg in a week, has been my best weight loss thus far on this journey, I stood on the scales this morning and was wrapped not only had I got under the 100kg, I have smashed it ....

Living on fruit and heaps of walking is paying off, finally ... I am hoping to emulate this result again next week ...

For those of you that met me in March this year, to date, I am now just over 19kg lighter ... and I am stoked .... drinking

Congratulations, don't lose it too fast though or else you risk putting it back on again.

I'm 1 kilo down after two weeks on Lite N Easy and a lot of cheating. Didn't like most of the food so now I'm on a gluten free diet and seeing a trainer twice a week.

I can assure you, I won't be putting it back on ..... doh

I started with LiteNEasy and then just copied their portion size and went back to every day food ... works out at less then half the price ..

I have had a crook shoulder that has kept me out of the gym, seems nearly right again, so in a couple of days I am hoping to get back to working out again and just firm and tighten some muscles ... drinking

$8 for four gluten free bread rolls. It's such a rip off.

Anyway, I'll see how I go this time. Normal diets haven't worked for me in the past because of the celiac gene, and the fact I have the willpower of a gnat.

Good luck with your keeping yours going!

Fact: Muscle weighs more than fat.

I have basically been on a 'healthier' diet for the last 30 years since I was diagnosed as being diabetic. I still love my pizzas and a beer or 3.

A diabetic must retain a "healthy' weight. Then comes the question of how to lose weight while retaining a healthy balance of carbohydrate intakes. Hard thing to do.

I have what I call a reasonable diabetic diet yet unable to lose weight when I need to as I do need to keep my 'sugar' level intake to reasonale levels. After being away for a couple of months, I did lose some weight, almost down to what I consider 'healthy' for me.

1 week after being back home and I had put back on those kgs. But it has settled down and now back down closer to what I want.

All the "experts" reckon I should be 82 kgs. I am 'skin and bone' at that weight. 92 kgs is more the weight I should be considering for my frame. I am 6' 2" (was 6'3") and heavily boned. I am now sitting at 95 kgs.

The 2 most important questions to be asked are:

1. Are you comfortable with your weight?

and

2. Are you comfortable with your weight?

That's fantastic P. And I am in awe as I have not found a diet I can stick too, in fact as soon as I think of being on a diet I am immediately hungrier and eat more blues

Seem to have been 'watching my weight' since I was about 15yo. I am about 4 kgs heavier than I want to be but with summer coming up I do go off the usual winter foods of curries, pasta etc and chomp on fruit especially during the day. thumbs up

But hey, probably won't recognise you now? wow

When you own a general store with the biggest lolly counter in the area, it is easy to grab a lolly or 4 as you walk by. Went from 90kg to over 100+ in 12 months.

Joined a gym but way back then, they just pointed and said "Jump on that for 10 mins, then that, then that, then that...." until I had used up my hour. Ended up doing serious problems to my wrists and back because they only 'managed' the gym and had no real training - bit like some of these 'service' centres where accountants watch the $$$ rather than knowing how to fix a car.

What I ended up doing was go to the library and read up on dieting. What calory intake I should be having, what carbohydrate intake (was very important later when diabetes arrived) and I sat down and wrote down all of my intake for every day.

It was a bit labourious but then I could see that I had a choice between having a Mars Bar (do love them)or meat and 3 vege for a meal. It worked.

And having developed diabetes later, it has helped and been a problem. Weight gain for me is a slow process but losing it is very hard because I do have to balance my diet to ensure I have regular intakes to keep my carbohydrate levels up.

I have also learnt that for me fruit has to be taken with caution. Fruit contains fructose which for a diabetic has to be watched.

I envy those who can just stop eating to lose weight.
