organicfeelin: Hi Conrad How is it going? You probably don t remember me but that s OK.

Erdogan is one of the best presidents Turkey could have. They press a lot on him that he banned alcohol sales bla bla.

The thing is the government made some regulations on alcohol sale as in USA that if you re under 18 years old you can not buy it and after 2200 hours you can not buy any alcohol from stores.but sure you can drink it in a bar or somethin.

The old time communists are attacking him.I am an aocohol consuming Turkish and I can buy what ever i want from any store during day time until 22 00.

So you see Conrad it s this CNN exaggerating all about him.

Check out Jon Stewart daily show how they bang on CNN.

I check it out time to time that s a great funny show.
not sure he's the best thing for Turkey, and it seems plenty Turkish Expatriates and Turk born in western Europe who are returning also do not think so!I am not watching CNN!grin

We both have said things that are not very nice. The only thing is the things I say did happen in the former Yugoslavia in early to mid 90's. He has abused me so I pointed out at his age he would have been in his early 20's during the conflict and most likely involved. You are all very selective in the comments you see and pretend not to see on here! Such as him comparing p*dophile marching to a gay pride march.

Google what the Serb forces did.roll eyes

NATO military aggression against Yugoslavia ( Serbia ) which started March 24rth, 1999 was launched to allegedly protect human rights of Kosovo Albanians. It was carried out in blatant violation of the basic principals of International Law and without approval of UN Security Council.
The precedent was used later in various other parts of the world whenever it suited the interests of USA and NATO: Afghanistan , Iraq , and Libya .
There are threats that it may be used against other countries like Syria, Iran, North Korea or any other country.
NATO aggression against Serbia (FR ofYugoslavia) in 1999 left close to 4000 dead and more tan 10.000 wounded, two thirds of whom where civilians including close to 1 hundred children.
NATO forces were using missiles with depleted uranium, causing massive cancer disease, deformation of newly-born babies unknown before.
NATO polluted soil, water and food production for unbelievable period of four billion years. Direct economic damage caused by aggression was estimated to an amount of over one hundred billion dollars.

MADDOG69: Oil is a commodity. It doesn't matter where the oil is drilled. Most Middle Eastern Oil is sent to their practical neighbours.... like Japan, China and tanked to places in Europe. If a tanker blows up in the Persian Gulf, the price of oil pumped out of the North Sea, or Alaska or wherever will go up. That's how global commodities work. While they still produce millions of barrels a day it doesn't really matter. The demand for oil will increase and increase. While they hold their reserves they will matter.

not sure anyone really knows exactly where OPEC oil comes from when they buy it. it could end up anywhere how it's traded. the US has the capacity to be energy independent and independent of OPEC. it's gonna happen. those countries are bound to lose clout as the US and countries like russia and china acquire the technology (our mostly) to tap their reserves. the saudis are doing some interesting things now with solar as is the US.

Many here are trying to stop speculators from shipping LNG from our reserves overseas as to energy independence...so that's the biggest controversy here now, along with the carbon footprint and subsidies for the renewables. Oil just isn't much in the news these days unless there's a spill or a pipeline leak aka BP....
