Used to live beside an old batchelor out the country, original concrete floors & huge fireplace u cold hang pots in, he used to cook a tonne of spuds & boils eggs in a bean tin & tip them out on the table with a pound of butter, always offered us a glass of whiskey when we called, then proceeded to take glasses from the dusty dresser & rinse them in a bowl full of water that god knows what was washed in earlier! He was a lovely old geezer....this could be you soon

There are loads of quick and easy recipes out there but depends on how adventurous you want to be? Would you mind dirtying more than one saucepan for instance?
One pot dishes like stews and casseroles literally couldn't be easier than boiling an egg. Chuck your meat, veg, seasoning and water into the one saucepan and leave it there to cook an hour - hour and a half. For flavour then you add stock cube or my favourite, a packet of Oxtail soup and prepare dumplings to go on top of everything else for the last 20 mins of cooking. Couldn't be simpler, you don't have to stand there stirring all the time.

just ring out for a Chinese or takeaway delivery fast and no cleaning up .Must pop in to the mother for some irish stew them wash it down with lovely pints of Guinness yummyemerald888: Someone, save that man
