Obviously that fellow was a liar. I honestly believe it'sone of the worst things people can do to one another. He was hiding
something, and because of insecurity, could not face up to it.

Many are just cyber-jerks, that is a fact.. with time, it's easy to seperate the good and the bad, then you can get real good friends and be happy with them. Leave quick those who don't take care of you, don't answer your messages etc.. A lack of care first is not polite nor nice and is an evidence they're not worth it.. garbage

I got numbers of guys did/do such craps...messaging, texting, calling etc etc...but I never take it too serious unless they can prove their words...just relax and be friends with them...haha3!...take it easy...some guys only like teasing us...haha3! ...as long as they are polite, we can be friends...

This sounds like the treatment men dish out to women they don't think are good enough. And you do realise that lying to ourselves is more deeply ingrained than lying to others? And he was your choice..

Especially on online dating, you cannot really judge a person only by reading his/her profile or looking at his/her photo OW. If you are really looking for connection, a communication must be formed and through that you can see if that is leading somewhere or not. So it is only natural that our choices will in many cases be false. That doesn't mean that we shall not have the courtesy to let the other person know of our intentions/feelings. A polite note to say that the compatibility is not there, doesn't cost a thing! We all are the world for somebody (the one) and good enough/not good enough/garbage for others... But disappearing without a word, just shows bad manners in my book...

This happens more often than not to both women and men. Game playing is brutal and unfortunately, it happens all the time. I see it here quite often.

I agree that he should say something even if it's just "no thanks".
My issue is with the surprise that comes when choices don't always go our way, especially when it's a choice that's gone wrong in the same way before. Which by the sounds of the OP it has done. Anyway, to make a bad choice once then it's fair enough to blame the option, but when this happens over and over again then you have to question your own decision-making, surely?
