Reminds me of the EComCon communications blackout drill that they held in the movie "7 days in May". The army seized all communications in the drill, but unbeknownst to the soldiers, the purpose was to facilitate a military coup by top generals.

Department of Defense begins 'prudent' planning for Oct. 1 shutdown; furloughs again a possibility
The Department of Defense has begun planning for the possibility of a government shutdown.
"It's prudent management for us to update our plans," Cmdr. Bill Urban, a spokesman for the DOD Comptroller's office told Stars and Stripes. "We're certainly using past plans as a basis for this potential shutdown."
The fiscal year is set to end Sept. 30 and the White House's Office of Management and Budget sent out a memo this week advising agencies to develop a plan if a shut-down occurs Oct. 1. Part of that plan will include identifying the services and personnel needed to do essential functions.
A shutdown would result in disruptions similar to those caused by this summer's sequestration-related furloughs, Christian Marrine, vice president for National Security and Acquisition Policy at the Aerospace Industries Association, told Defense News.

Faced with a similar shut-down threat in April 2011, the Pentagon developed a plan that included the furlough of some 400,000 civilian workers. Only those identified as critical for health and safety were spared, as were uniformed military personnel who would have remained on the job without pay.

Yes, I came across one on youtube and watched a ton of conspiracy theories about the illuminati and celebs whitney, michael jackson, on everything. On the economy collapsing. That we are near the end, 2011-2018. I don't really believe but I am a tad worried so I don't know what to think. Mostly because of some of the things, The US dollar is not that strong? Our debt, the floods. I was just on a thread about a gun law. To me, it sounds a lot like the Tv Show Revolution, the main idea of economy/government collapse, they take your weapons. No power, probably with the floods and people were buying a ton of stuff and prices rising,(floods part really happened) I hope it is total fiction, but I am a little worried.
