GUZMAN1: It's more romantic ask her about her blood type. And more useful.
I guess that makes sense. But sure its no harm to look for a partner based on astrology, it will be either luck or coincidence if I find the right person, nothing much else to go on. Hindu is the oldest religion in the world, and when they are matching couples together they base it on astrology among other things I guess (size of goat herd etc ) so 1.5 billion people cant all be wrong....
MrVirgo: I will, thank you for the advice. I was always curious about it and I'll look into it a bit more, but with an open mind. You know much about it?

MrVirgo: Dude, i just did it. My life path is 1, and my attitude is 7....F@ck its true...Really good stuff! I'll get the book and se where that takes me...thanks man:)
MrVirgo: ...That chap that shared the stuff on numerology yesterday has blown me away with that. I worked it out and my god, its true...
MrVirgo: Haha!, ya I know, its not really the man thing to do or think about. But what else can you go by? You dont know the person for maybe 3-4 months, and what type of personality that they have. There's a science behind astrology, and its something to go on at least....
There is a science used by and pointed to by astrologers, but I wouldn't go so far as to claim it was behind astrology since many of the constellations used by Western civilization definitely predate Galileo, Newton and Maxwell the astrology came first (Babylonian, Minoans, etc., then stole what parts of science fit the claims and discarded the rest.
Also worth noting.. Whose Constellations do you use? There are hundreds of constellations that at different times in human history have been discarded and mostly forgotten, i.e., Ophiuchus, Crux, Musca Borealis, Polophylax, Alcor, etc., etc. Western Civilization dominated so the astrologers chose the constellations (which are themselves merely arbitrary assignments of names) that they knew and ignored the ones of other civilizations.
Now exactly how someone can claim with a straight face that a sign based on a totally arbitrary assignment of an imagined shape is scientifically valid when used as a basis for the prediction of future events and behavioral trends eludes me. Astrology had to go through a major re-write after Galileo, and again after Kepler. Each time it gets re-written whole chapters of the manual whose accuracy had been sworn and attested to for generations wound up in the trash can with new hastily written rules to explain the inconsistencies of the pseudo-science with real world observations. As what can be seen and measured in the Universe continues to grow, the initial 'pseudo-science' (astrology) based solely upon what stars can be seen by the naked eye becomes less and less credible.
Regarding selection of a mate, I would put more faith on daily interactions with that person for a few months (with maybe somewhere, at some point, a credit check and criminal history check) than I would on a New Age choice of relevant astrological signs as determined by a book sold on Amazon.com.
MrVirgo: Hi everyone. I've been on the dating scene for a while now. I'm 39 and to be honest I want to find the right person now. I have a general interest in astrology, east & west. What do you folk think about searching for a partner based on astrology. Some people may say that its all rubbish. I dont think that it is. I could give out some examples, but I dont want to bore you with my life. I'm just looking for feedback from others...so go for it :)
My personal background has conditioned me for the practical. Save and re-use, a place for everything and everything in its place, keep records, prove yourself, etc... So, Astrology really doesn't "fit" my practical lifestyle. However, I admit that I'm on the fence. (There does seem to be harmony with the varying signs, whether they be The Zodiac or Oriental (Chinese) figures). Let me put it this way: I hear a noise in the park. I cannot describe it, nor can I see who or what made that noise. My neighbors did not hear the noise. Just because I cannot identify and/or describe the noise, nor tell how it came about, nor have my neighbors heard it, does not mean that there was no noise. We are too quick to disqualify things simply because we do not understand them. "There are more things in Heaven and Earth, Horatio, than are dreamt of in your philosophy"--W. Shakespeare

I don't believe it it. But if you do then if that is your way you believe to find someone then just do it!! We all have our little quirts about finding someone...we look down that list and if something stands out or not, that is why they ask us questions for our profiles. We have to look at profiles to get a "feel".

Thanks my lady :)
You ever get the feeling though sometimes that its a bit false on these websites. Have to sat its the first time i've gone onto the forums and the first decent interaction I've had with all you super human beings
You know though, its kinda tough finding someone that you like, at least by their profile, then you make the effort and send a mail with a nice hello, how are you....and then....nothing...., even once, and folks you'll love this, the exact fit of a Pisces Dog, I swear, it was a nice and polite hello message, nothing....and then a couple of days later I went to send another message and the girl had banned me...I swear, it was nice and polite....I'm no brad pitt, or anything like it, but i'm definitely not the elephant man, well at least when i'm not hungover....., but banned
No one ever banned me before, but the one girl that fitted the stars match made in heaven for me/us, actually banned me...that tells me something, and you are all going to think that I'm a real gluten for punishment, is that I am right, I need to search for the right person, and I feel that I need to base it on the stars...Why? Because finding whats right isn't/shouldn't be easy, you have to work for it. I made loads of contacts, probably about 30 since i joined about 2 months ago, and the only one that banned me was the perfect one.....coincidence again....or is it written in the stars....???? Love to hear all of your feedback on this.....
Florence13: Is dating by Astrology the way to find true love? is some truth in astrology, however my astrolyst recommended me not to date in any way with men born under the sign of the pig
And did you? Or do you know anyone born under the Pig sign? Do you get along with them....My guess is that you may know one, but they are not in your close circle of friends....What chinese sign are you?? I'm Tiger, and I have been told that I am good with Horses, Pigs and especially dogs...
