Yes i saw it was very impressed by Amandas acting ability !!! not saying sge is guilty of anything just that she was avoiding any difficult questions saying that she did not have an interview with Paxman or ora serious journalist that would have asked her more probing questions but then again this was Lorraine kelly

Morning Tom.

There were number of interviews apparently. I just felt that it was staged somewhat, from her point of view.

She spoke of having to defend herself for most of her adult life yet she's in her 20's. Found that odd .

Seems there is still no concern about her friend Meredith Kercher,it was all about what SHE had suffered.

Would be interesting to see what a lie detector picked up!

What made you think it was staged?

Glitch101: She spoke of having to defend herself for most of her adult life yet she's in her 20's. Found that odd .

She was what? 20/21 years old at the time of Meredith's murder and is now 26? So she's had 8 years of adulthood and she's been defending herself for 5-6 of those 8 years.

What did you find odd about her statement?

Glitch101: Seems there is still no concern about her friend Meredith Kercher,it was all about what SHE had suffered.

So, if any one of us is accussed of murder, found guilty, sentenced to 25 years imprisonment, served 4 years and then acquitted of the crime, we must only talk about how dreadful the crime was that we were not responsible for and cannot talk about the miscarriage of justice that we went through and are still going through?

Do you feel the same way about films such as In The Name Of The Father? Should we ignore that miscarriage of justice too, even though the police were possibly guilty of criminal acts to reach the wrongful conviction and the legal system failed innocent people, including a child?

Glitch101: Would be interesting to see what a lie detector picked up!

Did you know that lie detector tests can't be used as legal evidence?

Do you know why they can't be used as legal evidence?

That's some character assassination.

Wonder why she accused "Patrick" Lumumba though.

Only one person knows the truth and that's the victim Meredith Kercher

That'll be 2 people then.

It's why the Ities are giving her such a hard time... I don't think women from the anglosphere(particularly American women)realise how bad their reputation is in the eyes of the rest of the world. Amanda Knox certainly fits the stereotype, anyway.

And yes only Meredith knew for certain. I wouldn't place too much faith in the lie detector test(Ted Bundy passed his), but I can see why the result would be interesting.

I watched the interview you cited with your link which is the one I assumed you were specifically referring to as you cited it.

I didn't give opinions, so much as asked you questions about your opinions.

I'd be interested if could answer them, especially now that I've answered yours. tip hat

She was asked if she would take one and she agreed that she would ,if only to prove her innocence.

Yes I'm sure the results might be interesting, but inadmissible.

So you watched the short link that I attached ,not the complete interview.

As for answering any questions you may have regarding my personal opinion, I don't have to, as I'm not on trial here.

My opinion is just that ,not a truth ,an opinion.

Have to get ready for work now. Goodnight.

Which was with reference to the lie detector. It was not the complete interview , which was shown on ITV, which was what I referred to in my opening statement.

jac379: I apologise that my few questions here made you feel so uncomfortable you couldn't cope with answering them.

You really are the limit! You don't make me feel uncomfortable at all,and I'm certainly not answerable to yourolling on the floor laughing

I chose not to get into an argument with YOU about YOUR opinions, seeing as you have already accused me of stalking you and b-tching at you in other threads

OPINION = a belief or judgment that rests on grounds insufficient to produce complete certainty.

I didn't watch it but think it is a horrible situation especially for the family of the victim who was murdered! I can only imagine the family's feelings. I mean it is bad enough losing a loved one in an accident for example but murder! I wonder if the family will ever have any kind of closure.

All they have left is memories and did you know that quite often people forget the voices of their loved ones and so may only have a recorded telephone message or video to remind them. For some just having that provides some comfort. It is a tragic loss of a young woman's life. I loathe speculation about the crime scene etc but one thing we do know, Knox is capable of lying.

Thank you for your input Check mate.handshake

One can understand why the Kercher family requested a retrial along with the Prosecutor.

I can't imagine the High Court in Rome allowing this to happen ,unless they felt there was good cause to reopen the case.

I guess you read this too..

Local bar owner Diya "Patrick" Lumumba, whom Knox falsely accused of being involved in the days following the murder, appeared in court Monday after being given the right to participate as a civil party damaged by the crime.

Lumumba's lawyers have insisted on participating in the retrial because Knox has not paid him the damages she was ordered to pay by court for unjustly implicating him.

No I didn't,but she supposedly served time for her false accusation.

Why she pointed the finger at him is beyond comprehension, as he is a respected member of the Community with a young child.

There will be a lot of "digging" in this retrial I think, but whether it solves anything is the 64 million dollar question.
