This quote is a response to Pedro27's, sorry about the stuff up fellow members.
My in-laws came by boat from Southampton like many thousands in the fifties, my father in law tells the story of the boat pulling away, everyone crying and waving to family and friends.
Then dead silence as a solo bagpipe player played "Will ye no come back again". You could have heard a pin drop.
As my f-in-law says, "If I had had a gun at the moment I would have shot him"!!
Now if you want a real song of hope and great philosophy you cannot go past “ Always look on the bright side of life” just put your lips together and whistle!!!! 
There is no other song of hope like this one.
