I dont think its a bad thing having the chat rooms linked with a dating site, its free to use and can generate friends or even lead to metting the other half.....lol.
Not everyone post here anyway and some just pop in say hi and are never seen again, weve had words with Yammi about it and he will lay of with the cryptic welcomes lol.

Hi Roller , nice to see you here m8 . It takes time . It is only human to stay away from it all when all you've got from it is hurt and confusion . It takes time to get to know people . Take it easy and feel your way into the forum . It starts with making virtual friends with some real people . Perhaps it will help with making friends with real people too . Good luck

I must say that, although searching for my imaginary prince charming, i enjoy reading and posting on this forum, it makes me laugh some of the comments that are received, but i think the forum here is more for chilling out, having a laugh and meeting some really nice people, with who you can talk and laugh with. It helps take the seriousness out of online dating and makes way for a more relaxed evironment.

The names Peter and am fairly new to all of this but after a breakdown of a long term relationship like many before me I am here and looking for a new relationship (long term). However it appears that most of the dating sites are no more than glorified chat rooms
