why do people you think you know change? have you ever changed yourself and maybe you don't notice it but the one you love does? is this a stupid question?

hard to say. the only thing that is certain is that it is not a stupid question.

Have you ever heard the expression that a leopard cannot change it's spots? it means that the core pf a person does not change, or does not change readily. so no, I do not think the basic personality type of a person changes much. but people have 100% control over the choices they make about how to develop the person they are, and what they want to become. people often change without that awareness as well. but in my opinon, substantial change is usually the result of a choice to do so. it doesn;t mean it is always a good thing or the right choice. people get so caught up in celebrating change that they forget to evaluate whether change is the best idea.

It might help if we had a better idea of the kind of changes you mean.
