Bodleing took me to those Derwent Valley places... he drove me around to look at the beauty from the hills and into the valley... I spent some of my holiday in Manchester, and he was a wonderful touring host...
By the Way... where was ya, when I flew into Alicante... ?? don't laugh... I flew in via Ryan Air... what an experience...
and as for being a bobby... tell me more.. ??? sounds like the Bill. lol...

The reservoir, suicides! Bod! The Goyt valley was a "favourite" spot for it as well. The coroner from Manchester,ended his life there.He was either from Manchester or Stockport,i cant remember. Maybe you were around at that time, it was around 92. I received a commendation from the Derbyshire police for my efforts, not that it meant anything to me at the time, in fact I felt more like a terrible failure.

Thats made me do my maths! In 92 i was a sergeant in Derby...i think Bod,they dont give those commendations away lightly,so you have my respect.
What you felt is normal,i understand. People like you who are willing to try and help in those situations are well respected by the emergency services.
