A trip to the zoo if she's really special, but normally first date is just a drink. You don't want to invest too much time and money into a first date.
The two absolute no no's are going for a meal(too formal and wooden)and going to the movies. I can go and stare at a screen in silence with just about anybody. You learn nothing about the other person by doing this.

Just got home from a dinner date and he ate spaghetti bolognese, most of which ended up on his shirt and around his mouth, and I now know all about arthritis!
