I just need to vent a little. I am going to a cancer benefit tomorrow for a very close friend of mine who is dying of cancer. Her days are few. I am no longer attatched and wish that I would have been able to show the love that I have to that special someone. My daughter won't be around for Christmas, therefore it will be the first time I have been alone during this holiday. I was SO looking forward to Christmas this year. I will be alright I just have been seeing things wither and I am the type that everyday is usually a good day. This kind of hit the heart.

I am sorry to hear about your special friend.

Its a sad christmas for me too. My mom is sick with cancer and we don't know if this will be our last christmas with her or not and its hard to even think about it.

Just know you are not the only one feeling down and alone at this time of the year. And remember you also have friends here who will be around I am sure.

When days seem blue and the friends are few....

Take solace in those around you, cherish those small things, breathe in those little moments...

Hope for you all.

I'm so sorry for what ya'll are going through. I have come to dread this time of year, as it causes me to grieve my fiance's death all over again. It's been 2 years, but no amount of time can ever take that pain in my heart away.

Know that you are in my prayers and I wish for a Christmas miracle for all that are going through difficult times. Although we know that death is part of life, it doesn't make it any easier to bear the pain of losing a loved one.

God Bless hug

Thanks Chele, today is a new day for me, I was bumming last night but I am not going to let things hold me down I am going at it head first. For those who are more depressed and can't feel the way I do, I pray they keep what spirits up that they can, and never be afraid to reach out. Thank you all my friends for your support. Kevinhug

My prayers are with you.
This will be my second x-mas since my divorce. This year is hitting me the hardest. My Mom is under hospice care and I am taking care of her at home. I thought for sure that she was not going to make it through the other day (but she fooled us all) She has cancer and emphysema. So this will be her last x-mas.
We finally got up the rest of the tuition so my son can return back to college in January. He has informed me that I am going to be a Grandma.yay He will make a great dad and husband. His girlfriend is going with him. He is still going to finish college, and they will be getting married.
The down side is that this is bringing up feelings about his own father, and he is starting to feel the aftermath. This also hits my heart pretty hard. X-mas is just going to be a little sadder this time of year for my children.

You are very welcome. It does help to talk about it with people that understand the feeling. And yes, some people are in deep depression or don't feel they can talk about it. I pray for them as well.

It appears it may be a "blue" Christmas for many.. This will be my 2nd Christmas without my last ex SO. GOD am I gratefull.rolling on the floor laughing

MY 86 yo mother is here with, I have no clue as to how many more she will be here. Hell, I don't know how many I have left. Do any of us really know the Masters plan?

I have a passion for cooking. My Christmas will be a feast. Preparing a feast for those less fortunate. I am a recovering alcoholic, sober 24 years now. There are many that are extranged from their families. They are trying, but have yet to regain the trust of family, I know the feeling. I also live in a age restricted community, several elderly here that for whatever reason will not be with family, they are invited to join us. Christmas, is a celebration of the birth of Christ, for me it is a day of giving & giving my all. I have been given a lot, it will be a day of giving back.

Abraham Lincoln said, "We all can be as happy as we make up our minds to be". I have made up my mind to be happy. Life happens, I have to deal with life on lifes terms.

Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays & God bless each & every one of you out there..
