The sky is purple, my instincts tell me no..But if
they say the sky is blue and its actually cloudy instinct
does not come into play...I believe in probable possibilities...

I think you have had a lot of communication in a short spaceof time I'm guessing. That can be overwhelming, especially if you
have run into bad eggs, like I think you have. You should know
who the real ones are by now. Here you are, a Canadian jewel,
3000 miles away, go figure.

Yes this online dating thing is a minefield for sure and I really don't think anyone has the answers, regardless of how long they have been doing it.
My advice is simply to keep your head and keep your wits about you always.
You simply do not know who you are talking to until you at least see them on webcam and, if things progress and you want to, meet them in person .. always in a public place!!!
Just be super careful and super safe, don't hand over ANY personal details online and read the scammer warnings on here.

Hey Miss jewel I'm sure you know there's a lot of creepy things in you area without even being online... Just take your time. It does seem over whelming. In the past, I've chatted with ladies on different sites that have said, they have to delete two of three pages of messages everyday without looking at them, just to help clear the mind, before beginning to open the mail messages.
