Great pics Rob.
Gotta love that Leaden Fly catcher. So heavy, yet they still manage to fly, AND catch flies, which we all have to agree is a good thing.
That reminds me to buy one of those fly netting things that you put over y our hat before next month's field trip.rolling on the floor laughing

glad you both enjoyed

Its first time i've seen the Leading Flycatcher, not very common round here.

Three or four newbies over past few days, long tailed koel which migrates from NZ to PNG, Brown Honeyeater usually habits NT, female rufus whistler and the white plumed honeyeater new to my knowledge

yeah you'll need fly netting, enjoy the outing Obs

great lizard photos Obs, certainly would make you think twice about opening the gate!!

Um Rob.. time to buy a spare battery and keep one charged always!

Great photos, coz they make the day not look as cold as I know it was!

Oh i got spare batteries but of course didn't take one with me, also had left camera on, though it shuts itself down, didn't help noticed first picture i went to take. Wasn't big problem as had the ZX-1 with me to, used that to picture-took Bogon and Mt Beauty.
Worst news, Aplin Flowers weren't flowering, was to early i think. Yes Jem pretty cold up there, particularly near Falls Creek, snow showers the whole time, good drive, a good day out

Once again you do us proud with your pictures.

Saw one of these in the garden the other day, haven't seen one for years. It's usually the pied wagtail that is common so this yellow wagtail was a sight for sore eyes.---- IMAGE REMOVED because photobucket.com no longer allows embedded images ----

More great bird pictures Rob. But I have to ask the obvious question: why the picture of a hole in the ground? Presumably a spot they come to roll in the dust? Or their eggs are buried there to keep warm? confused

fifth image in last posting, "white winged chough" family are as always together, seen in that image taking a dust bath as best as i could tell, they dug two holes

Thanks Rob.

It's magical to come in here and see things I wouldn't ordinarily see.

Loved the eagle ,reminds me of the 2 pairs of Buzzards who soar overhead near me.

The feather formation underwing is fantastic.

Thanks for sharing.hug
