A good share of it was someone gossiping about another member here.

Well I do answer most of my mails and to my flowers if only to say thanks. The ones that are suspect or rude and lewd I never answer.

Starting out with the line "I read your profile" and sending me a Yahoo address is an obvious indication that you have NOT read my profile. I hate to admit it, but I do take the time to respond to each one of them accordingly. 
However, a flower with a sincere note, or a hello with a name is also answered, much differently.

Do you read their profiles carefully?
Perhaps they have preferences.
I've in my profile "NOT interested in long-distance relationship".
Many are just here for killing time.
A good idea is to read the profiles carefully, before sending flowers or emails.
Many profiles are fake profiles or as we call them scammers!
